ORDINANCE NUMBER 2017-1
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 2016-1 AND ADJUSTING THE SCHEDULE OF COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS UP TO 3% FOR NON-ELECTED EMPLOYEES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Council of the Village of Apple Creek, Ohio (“Village”) passed Ordinance No. 2016-1 on February 1, 2016, in order to establish the schedule of compensation and benefits for non-elected employees of the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council has decided to modify certain rates of compensation and benefits contained in said Ordinance No. 2016-1; and
WHEREAS, Village Council has determined this amendment is in the best interests of the Village’s residents, promotes the general welfare of said citizenry, and must be passed on an emergency basis in order to prevent hardship to non-elected employees;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Apple Creek, Ohio, that Section 1 of Ordinance Number 2016-1 shall be amended, in pertinent parts, as follows with all remaining unaltered provisions continuing in full effect:
Village Fiscal Officer/Village Administrator
The Village Fiscal Officer’s rate of pay shall be $19.13 per hour.
Part-time Administrative Assistant to the Fiscal Officer
The rate of pay will be $12.73 per hour.
Working Supervisor over Streets & Maintenance
The rate of pay will be $18.20 per hour.
Laborer’s rates of pay shall be $12.36per hour.
Police Chief Over Apple Creek Police Department
The Police Chief’s salary shall be set at $46,384.24 per year with full available benefits. The Police Chief shall further be eligible for no more than one hundred fifty (150) hours of “compensatory time off” as approved by the Mayor and in accordance with the terms of Ordinance 2004-7.
Part Time Police
Sergeants’ rates of pay shall be $16.24 per hour.
Full Time Police Officers’ rates of pay shall be $12.24per hour.
Part Time Officer Thomas Martin rate of pay shall be $11.59.
All other Part Time Officers rate of pay shall be $11.42.
SECTION TWO: All prior Ordinances and parts of Ordinances which conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent that they are in conflict herewith.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage.
